and then we die. It really makes no difference who we are. This road of life is common to us all. It can seem meaningless at times, and, at other times, it can be filled with joy and happiness when  we are with our family and friends. Sometimes, as we pass along, we ask ourselves the really big questions: Where did we come from? Why are we here? Where are we going?

During the course of human history, there have been different answers to these questions. However, since this web site limits itself to two views: Christian and Muslim, it does not pursue the answers that other beliefs offer to these questions. Central to both the Christian and Muslim viewpoint is the idea that Allah (or God) is the answer to life's three major questions. Christians and Muslims accept the existence of Allah, and we both believe that we ought to live in submission to His revealed Will. So, there are areas of overlap between Christian and Muslim beliefs.

However, there are crucial differences too. Christians and Muslims view Jesus Christ and Muhammad differently. The manner and means of our eternal salvation are contradictory. Since our ultimate salvation is an issue with which we must concern ourselves, we need to make sure that we are on the true path to divine blessing or else we will face eternal damnation. Christians and Muslims cannot both be correct, because their positions are mutually contradictory. We will investigate the claims of Jesus Christ and Muhammad in this pursuit of truth.

The freedom to pursue, investigate, challenge, and believe the truth is a responsibility as well as a divine blessing. Since human beings are responsible before Allah for their life choices, we must bear the consequences of those choices individually. In other words, each person will be judged individually on the Last Day of Judgment. On that Day, it will not make any difference who our family was or where we lived.

Is it religious discrimination to tell the truth about Islamic Jihad?
Read a statement submitted to the court by a witness ...

We must stand before the Lord of the Worlds alone and give an account of our life alone. Allah is omniscient in knowledge and will judge in perfect righteousness. Human excuses will not stand before His divine majesty.

Tragically, the freedom to pursue the truth is not shared by all human beings. Some Muslim governments deny this basic human right to their citizenry. They are not allowed to think and to question the teachings of Muhammad. In fact, Shari'ah law demands execution for any Muslim who converts to Christianity. For example, the classic manual of Islamic sacred law, Reliance of the Traveller, states,

"Someone raised among Muslims who denies the obligatoriness of the prayer, zakat, fasting Ramadan, the pilgrimage, or the unlawfulness of wine and adultery, or denies something else upon which there is scholarly consensus (ijmn', def:b7) and which is necessarily known as being of the religion (N: necessarily known meaning things that any Muslim would know about if asked) thereby becomes an unbeliever (kafir) and is executed for his unbelief..." f1.3, p. 109.

It is tragic because governments do not have the power to save or to condemn a single person when the Last Day of Judgment comes. It is the individual person who must stand before Allah who is the Supreme Judge of the Last Day. Therefore, every individual has a personal and ultimate responsibility to be submissive and obedient to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

We have the responsibility to ask ourselves, "Do we respect Allah enough to question the religious claims of someone who claims to be a prophet of Allah?" Or, must we blindly accept someone's claims to be a prophet. There have been false prophets during the course of world history. So, it is incumbent upon us to investigate the claims of someone who alleges to be a prophet. Since we should investigate the life and claims of alleged prophets, we ought to study the life and claims of Isa ibn Maryam and Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah.

On the bright side, it is can be a life-changing experience to pursue the truth. For some, the dark shadow of the sword of Shari'ah law casts its life-threatening warnings against a Muslim who would dare pursue the truth enough to questions the claims of Muhammad. Still, we challenge you to join us in this most sacred pursuit. The sword of Shari'ah law may kill your body, but Allah has the power to resurrect your body and give you a martyr's crown and eternal paradise. Truth is worth securing!

May we have the future joy of meeting one another in paradise.

Salaam
